Meet the UCFF Management Team
UCFF Management Team offer skills and experience essential to the success of this venture. From boardroom to performance, communications to songwriting, this team is expert at getting the job done. As with all organizations of this sort, their combined passion for folk music and performance in general, and their hours of volunteer time form the strong base from which we will grow.
2024 Organizing Team
George Tierney – Prescott, Ontario
Chair - Co-Artistic Director
Musician, marketer, event planner, designer. George brings his passion for local, live music to the project as Team Leader. He spent seven years as a Board Member of Canadian Folk Music Awards and continues to volunteer for that organization. Most recently he was inducted into the CFMA's "Order of Folk". He can regularly be found helping out at St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage in Morrisburg throughout the winter. George is well known for his activities performing with his band ‘HappyCrap’ and for his highly successful YouTube channel, ‘One guitar, one hundred hands’.
Graham Lindsey – Ottawa, Ontario
Stage/Tech Management - Co-Artistic Director
Graham is President of the Canadian Folk Music Awards, a multi-instrumentalist and composer, writing inventive and varied tunes. His compositions don’t follow the traditional Irish, Scottish or other Celtic styles, and the subtle differences bring a unique feel and rhythm to each tune. Graham was nominated for his 2019 album “TradHead” by the Canadian Folk Music Awards in the Instrumental Solo Artist category (2020). His main project is the band “From Away”, and he regularly appears as a side-player with numerous artists including Anna Ludlow, The Broken Bridges, Sarah Burnell, Lindsey & McGregor and more.
Herb Cloutier – Kemptville, Ontario
Audio/Staging
As a long-time musician, and “live music” promoter residing in Kemptville, Ontario, Herb has always been involved with a wide variety of events that promote the arts.
Over the past 30 years Herb has steadily grown within the music industry each year having success with creation of events, working collaboratively with both Municipalities, and Organizer’s providing content, and creation of overall visions. J.A.M Productions has grown to match requests, for “Live Stage and Sound Production.” As this is a Core-Service, we have provided stage, sound and lighting for many festivals, as well as our own productions including Cornwall Garlic Festival, Merrickville Canal Fest, Rockin @ Riverside Music, Festival, Music in the Park Festival, Kemptville Buskerfest, Dandelion Festival, Hill 70 Memorial, Heritage 100 Campus Anniversary, Meet Me on Main.
Johanna Roach – Prescott, Ontario
Treasurer
Johanna Roach is a 20+ year veteran working in the non-profit sector. She began her career working for the Canadian Liver Foundation working as a community developer building and increasing the profile of their volunteer network. During her career within the non profit sector she held various directorships including strategic partnerships, operations and marketing, and events with over 5000 in attendance.
Johanna has served on the Ontario Fencing board, helped launch and run the Canadian Stroke Network, Unmanned Systems Canada and the Canadian Marine Industries and Shipbuilding Association. In addition, she managed a Canadian national think tank with an operating budget of $1.7M. She is a strategic thinker and a strong community developer.
Tom Van Dussen – Prescott, Ontario
UCFF Director
Tom Van Dusen is a Prescott resident, a long-time newspaper reporter and columnist. A former municipal councillor in Russell, ON, Tom worked on Parliament Hill for a decade, is a former manager of the Ottawa Valley Farm Show, former director with the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival, the Upper Canada Playhouse board, current member of both South Grenville and Russell & District Historical Societies, current member of Showtime South Grenville which organizes concerts in Prescott, and the organizing committee of Summer Series of Concerts in the Prescott amphitheatre. Tom is a struggling harmonica player, ukulele learner, and broken-down karaoke singer.
Tracey Young – Prescott, Ontario
Town of Prescott – UCFF Committee Representative
Tracey was born and raised in Prescott, ON. She is the Managing Partner Irving H Miller Ltd., a Prescott Town Councilor, Vice Chair of Downtown Prescott BIA, Vice President Leeds and Grenville Insurance Brokers Association and Chair of Town of Prescott Planning Advisory Board.
Tracey is our liaison with the Town of Prescott.

Pro bono contributions
As with most organizations like ours, our team members have offered their advice, support, and a good proportion of the preliminary preparations pro bono. Graphic design services, artist procurement and management are also offered voluntarily.
