TWIN FLAMES
Both with Indigenous roots, the husband-and-wife team of Jaaji Okpik and Chelsey June joined musical forces in 2015 after meeting during taping of an APTN talent show. Since then, they’ve fired up audiences across the land and have been celebrated internationally; they hold 44 music awards and nominations. Their original songs are delivered in a mix of English, French and Inuktitut accompanied by an assortment of instruments. Both are published authors, actors and models. They advocate for native language revitalization and a healthy lifestyle.
GRAHAM LINDSEY
Performing this summer on Prince Edward Island and in British Columbia as well as in Prescott, Graham is an award-winning song writer and performer with the accent on Trad and Celtic. President of the Canadian Folk Music Awards, his catchy tunes have been played on the Peace Tower Carillon, in Sweden and many other venues.
RAY HARRIS
Praised for his finely-crafted tunes which he describes as Ameri-Canadiana, Ray incorporates elements of honkytonk, rockabilly, country, folk, blues and roots into his distinct sound telling stories often focused on his family history in the Ottawa valley.
ALEKSI CAMPAGNE
Recording in English and French, Aleksi’s music fuses traditional fiddling with what’s been described as “almost Indie-rock.” Gaining increasing notice over the past several years, Aleksi has been included in the lineups of some of Canada’s most prestigious folk festivals and we’re proud to have him join us in Prescott.
BRIANA DOYLE
A folk singer-songwriter known for her soaring, heartfelt vocals. Her music explores the complexities and contradictions in life and relationships, reflecting on mistakes made and paths not taken, yet looking forward with optimism and hope. Her self-titled debut album, produced by Joel Schwartz, will be released later this year.
EMMA LAMONTAGNE
Emma describes her sound as lyric-focused folk pop. Her stage banter has been described as clever enough to earn her a second career as a comic. Recording many of her compositions in her home studio, Emma says her songs have a lot to do with growing up and facing what comes with life... mostly trying to spin bad into good.
